RAJKOT: Forty thousand and counting this is the haul of eco bricks that is literally paving the way for environ consciousness at the Akwada lake garden in Bhavnagar. And, what is even better is the fact that the process is a citizen initiative.
In a clever move by Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (BMC), these non-recyclable plastic waste bricks or eco bricks will take hundreds of years to get destroyed, and thus, will prevent pollution in land, water and air. The actual brain behind BMC’s innovation is Dr Tejas Doshi, a family physician by profession and brand ambassador of Bhavnagar in Swachh Bharat mission.

MIAMI – Vitas Changsao invited a couple of women he had just met to his apartment in Miami’s Brickell. They drugged him and stole his luxury watches and two priceless brown monkey stuffed animals.
He said one of the stuffed animals had been in his family for more than two decades and the other was a gift from his ex-girlfriend. His Rolex and Audemars Piguet are both worth about $125,000.
“Maybe I should have been more cautious,” Changsao said about the burglary on Saturday night at the SLS Brickell Miami.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed the deputy commissioner Islamabad to ensure that no one is working forcibly due to advanced loans at brick kilns and start a campaign to make every labourer aware of his rights.
The court appointed Islamabad High Court Journalists Association (IHCJA) President Saqib Bashir Chaudhry as amicus curiae in the case and stated that such issues must be highlighted in the media. The court directed the deputy commissioner to appoint an officer to visit every brick kiln and sought an implementation report on a commission’s recommendations about forced labour.
